Before your stay at the WEGE KLINIK

IHR-KLINIKAUFENTHALT

All important information for your preparation

Will we be welcoming you to our clinic soon? Then we would like to welcome you and do everything we can to make your stay here as pleasant as possible. This includes providing you with all the important information in advance so that you can relax and prepare for your stay.

Your admission to the WEGE Klinik

Normally, your GP or specialist will refer you to our clinic for further treatment after making a diagnosis. As soon as you have received the referral letter, call us and arrange the period of your stay with us. This gives you early certainty and allows you to take care of private matters in advance.

Before you can move into your room on the agreed date, there are still a few formalities to complete. Please bring the following documents with you:

  • Health insurance card
  • Referral form that you received from your family doctor or specialist
  • Preliminary findings
  • List of the medication you are currently taking
  • Current blood values, if available (max. 14 days old)

You have enough time and peace and quiet here on site to fill out the necessary forms for us. If you have any questions or difficulties, we will of course be happy to help you.

The costs of your stay at the WEGE Klinik

Some reassuring news first: your health insurance will generally cover the costs of your stay at our clinic. As a person with statutory health insurance, you will only have to pay a co-payment of 10 euros per day – we have listed exceptions to this co-payment below.

If you wish, you can make your stay more pleasant with our additional services for a fee. Secure a particularly large room in a particularly quiet location, gain access to your own lounges and kitchen areas, expand your culinary options with a wider selection on our menu, stay in touch with your loved ones with your own telephone or keep yourself entertained with a TV in your room or magazines.

Please contact us to find out what we can do for you.

Frequently asked questions about admission to the WEGE KLINIK

Who is exempt from the additional payment of €10 per day for hospitalisation?

The following patients are exempt from co-payment according to §39, para. 4 SGB V:

  • BG patients
  • Entitled persons according to BSHG (LVR)
  • Asylum seekers

Do I also have to pay the €10 for long-term hospital stays?

The additional payment of €10 per day for your hospital stay is limited to a total of 28 days in a calendar year, whereby your arrival and departure days each count as a full day. After these 28 days, you will not incur any further costs – unless you have opted for additional optional services.

After receiving a referral from your GP or specialist, you will make an appointment for an examination with us by telephone. Bring all your previous findings and – if available – your current blood values with you to this appointment. We will then discuss the next steps together on site.

Can relatives also stay in my room?

This is generally possible. Please contact us in advance of your stay to discuss the possibilities and costs.

Are there any special features for patients of the International Patient Services?

In addition to the documents listed above, , we require patients of the International Patient Services (IPS) to provide either cost coverage from the respective embassy or international insurance for admission. A cash deposit is also possible. Please contact us for any necessary cost estimates.
